Dover — Mr. and Mrs.Harvey Stambaugh, Dover, RD 1, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently with a family dinner and open house.
Mr. and Mrs. Stambaugh were married March 9, 1902, by the late Rev. Dr. O. P. Shellhamer in York. They are the parents of three children: Luther Stambaugh, here; Roman Stambaugh, Dover, RD 1, and Mrs. James Laird, Wellsville, RD 1. They have three grandchildren, William, Janet and Marion Laird, Wellsville, RD 1. The couple received many gifts.

Mrs. Naomi L. Stambaugh, wife of Harvey C. Stambaugh, Dover R. 1, near Harmony Grove, died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday in York Hospital. She was 85.
Mrs. Stambaugh, who had been under the care of a physician, became ill Sunday morning while attending church services and was taken to the hospital in the Dover ambulance.
A daughter of the late Franklin and Lydia Jane Lenhart Ruth, she was a life-long resident of the Harmony Grove area. She belonged to Harmony Grove Chapel and Sunday School.
Mr. and Mrs. Stambaugh had observed their 63rd wedding anniversary in March.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter and two sons, Mrs. Ethel R. Laird, Dover R. 5; Luther F. Stambaugh, 316 Roosevelt Ave., York, and Roman E. Stambaugh, Dover R. 1; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Willis Ruth, 1334 W. Philadelphia St., York, and Raymond Ruth, Thomasville R. 1.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harmony Grove Chapel by the pastor, Rev. C. Jack Orr. Interment was in Holtzschwamm Union Cemetery.

DOVER, Dec. 5 — Funeral services for Harvey C. Stambaugh, 87, of Dover R. D. 1, killed Saturday evening when struck by a car, will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow at Harmony Grove Chapel.
His pastor, the Rev. C. Jack Orr, will officiate and burial will be in Holtzschwamm Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of Emig Funeral Home, here.
He was the husband of the late Naomi L. Ruth Stambaugh and is survived by three children, Mrs. James R. Laird, Dover R. D. 6; Luther F. Stambaugh, 316 Roosevelt avenue, York; and Roman E. Stambaugh, Dover R. D. 3; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Willis C. Stambaugh, 19 South West street, York; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Lau, 2650 Clearspings boulevard, York.
A native of Dover township, he was a son of the late Emanuel R. and Alice Moul Stambaugh. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and belonged to the Dover Fire Company and Harmony Grove Chapel and Sunday school.
