Miss Barbara Thompson, daughter of Franklin R. Thompson of Darien, Conn., and of Mrs. Ruth Babcock Thompson of Stamford, Conn., and George Stull Sylvester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Sylvester of 2 Bradford Street, Glen Rock, were married at 5 P. M. yesterday at the home of the bride's mother. The Rev. Dr. Russell Miller McGown of the First Congregational Church, Stamford, officiated.
The bride wore a green satin dress and carried a bouquet of calla lilies. Miss Dorothy Thompson was maid of honor for her sister. She wore a wine velvet dress with matching corsage.
Bruce Grant of Fortaleza, Brazil, was best man.
Mrs. Sylvester attended the Traphagen School of Design in New York, and is a commercial artist.
Mr. Sylvester, a graduate of Blair Academy and the University of Massachusetts, represents the Caterpillar Tractor Company of Peoria, Ill., in Fortaleza.
After a reception the couple left on a short honeymoon. Upon return Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester will travel by plane to Fortaleza, where they will reside.

George S. Sylvester, 53, Sao Paulo, Brazil, was pronounced dead on arrival at Pawating Hospital at 1:30 p.m. Monday. He was stricken while at the Pickwick Club in Niles.
Mr. Sylvester was district manager in Brazil for Clark Equipment International, C.A. The body was taken to the Pifer Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
