MELVINA SYLVESTER, daughter of MIRANDA HILLS and CHARLES RICHARD SYLVESTER, was born September 6, 1852 in Green County, Wisconsin,⁷²¹⁴ and died January 15, 1924 in Siltcoos, Lane, Oregon.⁷²¹⁴ She is buried in Mount Vernon Pioneer Cemetery, Springfield, Lane, Oregon.⁷²¹⁴

DIED

SYLVESTER—At the home of her nephew, Charles Sylvester, at Siltcoos, January 15, 1924, Lavina Sylvester, at the age of 71 years. She was born September 6, 1852 in Green county, Wisconsin. She is survived by two brothers, R. S. Sylvester and P. M. Sylvester, both of Portland. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Walker chapel in Springfield. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon cemetery.
