WALROE, Elsie E. (Sylvester) died on September 30, 1997. She was married to Harold Warloe (deceased) and is survived by her two sons, Robert Warloe and his wife, Jan, of Torrance, and Roger Warloe and his wife, Constance, of Sacramento; plus eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Elsie was born in Sylvester, Wisconsin on September 30, 1902. She moved to Los Angeles in 1927 and was an active church member of Immanuel Baptist Church and later Crenshaw United Methodist Church. She was very active in the various church women's organizations in the greater Los Angeles area. Since 1986 she has been a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Sacramento. She loved working with children; in her senior years she spent many hours helping the elderly and visiting the sick.
She is also survived by four siblings: Sylvia Arnold of Duluth, Minnesota, Charles Sylvester of Duluth, Bessie Wiersma of Varadal, Washington, and Ralph Sylvester of Spokane, Washington.
Funeral services will be held 4:30 pm, October 11 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Sacrament. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Andrews United Methodist Church.

No service will be held for Bessie (Sylvester) Wiersma, 87, at her request. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wiersma, who was born in Spooner, Wis., died Thursday.
In 1929 she married Red Wiersma in Spooner and in 1942 they moved to Spokane from Bend, Ore.
She was a homemaker.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Don Wiersma of Spokane; a daughter, Fern Anderson of Veradale; two brothers, Ralph Sylvester of Spokane and Charlie Sylvester of Duluth, Minn.; a sister, Sylvia Arnold of Duluth; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great- grandchildren.

SYLVESTER, Ralph J. born in Spooner, Wi January 4, 1918 passed away Thursday, September 8, 2006 in his Spokane home surrounded by family. Ralph married Violet Hastings on May 4, 1940 and served in the US Army where he was honorably discharged in 1945. He lived in Chewelah with his wife and three daughters for 16 years while working for Stevens County. In 1964 Ralph and Violet moved to Placerville, CA where Ralph worked as the Superintendent of Public Works for El Dorado County. He retired in 1991 and he and Violet moved back to Spokane. Ralph is survived by his wife of 66 years, Violet; three daughters, Joanne Fitzgerald, Sandra King and Shirlee (Steve) Pope; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. There will be a private memorial service. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane. Neptune Society entrusted with cremation.
