A pretty wedding took place at 8 o'clock Saturday evening at the home of Mr. E. V. Snively, 605 North Thirteenth street, St. Joseph, when his daughter, Miss Helen Adams, was married to Mr. James Stephen Taylor. The Rev. J. B. Kettle, pastor of Tabernacle Congregational church, officiated. Mr. Edward ryan, accompanied by Miss Hattie Stewart on the piano and Mr. John Carter with the 'cello, sang, "Beloved it is Morn" and "I Love You Truly" with 'cello during the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of white mulle with lace trimmings and carried white roses. The parlor, where the ceremony took place, was decorated with hydrangeas and ferns, and lighted with pink and white candles. Prink roses were used in the hall and pink asters in the dining room. Mrs. Taylor formerly lived here and has many friends who extend congratulations and best wishes.
After their return from a week's trip Mr. and Mrs. Taylor will be at home at 925 North Ninth St.

Funeral services for James Stephen Taylor, 58, former Salt Lake lumber company executive, will be conducted at the graveside in Mt. Olivet cemetery Thursday at 4:30 p. m.
Mr. Taylor, who died in Salt Lake City Tuesday morning, was born in Harvard, Neb., July 18, 1881, a son of George and Clara Searle Taylor. After attending school in the east, he came to Salt Lake City in 1913, remaining her 22 years.
He was formerly vice president of the Morrison-Merrill lumber company in Salt Lake City and a member of the board of governors of the Salt Lake chamber of commerce. He was active in local Masonic affairs.
Five years ago he moved to Denver and became president of the Denver Trade Executives.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Helen A. Taylor; a son, Donald Taylor, and a daughter, Jeannette Taylor, all of Denver.

Mrs. Helen A. Snively Taylor, 4 North Encino Ave., Three Arch Bay, South Laguna, Cal., died suddenly Sunday, 9 a.m., at her residence according to word received in Salt Lake City. She was a resident of Salt Lake City from 1913 to 1936. Born in Wathena, Kan., she was a daughter of E. V. and Harriet Snively. Married James S. Taylor in 1940, St. Joseph, Mo. Survivors: Son, Donald Eugene Taylor, Pasadena, Cal.; one daughter, Mrs. Jeannette Palmer, Menlo Park, Cal.; four grandchildren, one sister, Eunice L. Snively, Chicago. Funeral conducted Wednesday in Laguna Beach, Cal. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Salt Lake City.
