Archibald C. Thomas, 69 years old, member of a pioneer Indianapolis family, died yesterday in his home, 550 West drive, Woodruff Place, after a month's illness.

A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he was the son of John C. and Ella Keely Thomas. He had been a salesman for more than 30 years with the J. P. Michael Company, wholesale grocers.

Mr. Thomas attended Wabash College and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and Ancient Landmarks Masonic Lodge, F. and A. M.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Edna B. Thomas; a son, John B. Thomas; a sister, Mrs. Ervin H. Shiel, and a brother Harry L. Thomas, all of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Arthur L. Mahr, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, at 3:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
