HUMBIRD — Mrs. Phillip Desaulniers, 70, died Tuesday at Veterans Hospital in Madison.
The former Hallie Vinton was born at Red Wing, Minn., served in the Medical Corps during World War II and worked as a nurse in Rhode Island. She and her husband lived in Granton before moving to Humbird in 1957.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Frederick Laffe, Providence, R.I.; three daughters, Mrs. Orrin Wold, Black River Falls, Mrs. Henrietta Riel, Coventry, R.I., Mrs. Barbara Wilbur, California; a granddaughter, Mrs. Deborah Johnson, who lived with Mrs. Desaulniers; a brother Edward Vinton, Eau Claire; a sister, Mrs. Lee Terril, Alma Center; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Black River Falls, with burial in Mentor Cemetery, Humbird.
Friends may call at Torgerson Funeral Chapel, Black River Falls, after 2 p.m. today and at the church one hour before services Thursday. Prayer service will be at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
