WILBRAHAM - Alice L. Williston, 94, of Orchard Valley, 2387 Boston Rd., died Saturday at a local nursing home. Born in Spfld, she was the daughter of the late William C. & Mabel (Tyler) Williston. She was a graduate of the old Central High School of Spfld and a longtime employee of Mass Mutual Life Ins. Co., retiring in 1972. Alice was a member of the Wilbraham Council on Aging, where she helped establish many senior programs, such as "Meals on Wheels", a mini van and a facility for senior citizens in Wilbraham. She also was a member and past president of the Young at Heart Club and assisted with its many programs and activities. Alice also was a member of Wilbraham Women's Club, the Mercy Warren Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, where she served as Treasurer and on many of its committees and a member of Grace Union Church, where she had served as past president of its Women's Christian Fellowship and on various church committees. She leaves nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A memorial service is Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Grace Union Church, Chapel St., Wilbraham. Burial is private and there are no calling hours. Byron's Allen Street Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital Improvements Fund, Grace Union Church, 7 Chapel St., Wilbraham, MA 01095.
