WILLISTON. Harriet Williston, 72, of 146 Loomis Drive, West Hartford, died Monday, (July 16) at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Torrington, daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy (Burke) Williston, and had lived in the Hartford area for over 30 years. Prior to her retirement, Miss Williston was the secretary for the Independent Insurance Agents of Connecticut for over 10 years. She previously specialized in the field of rating insurance policies for many years. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, West Hartford, and a member of the Ladies Club of the church. She is survived by three nephews, Richard Williston Dillon of West Hartford, T. Davis Dillon of Boston, Mass., and Robert M. Williston of Monroe. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, 1018 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, with the Rev. Ronald L. Woodruff, officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. There will be no visiting hours. Contributions in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 670 Prospect Ave., Hartford 06105. Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, Wethersfield, has charge of arrangements.
