OBITUARY

Ginevra Reynolds Hapgood was born at Ashland, Nebr., Jan. 31, 1879, and passed away at Stratton, Nebr., Sunday morning, Oct. 7, 1934, following an illness of several months.

Mrs. Hapgood graduated from the Ashland city schools, later teaching in Lancaster county and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. In the year 1906 she accompanied members of the family to Bayard to reside, taking a homestead near town, and taught several years in North Bayard and the city schools.

Her marriage to Adelbert C. Hapgood took place in Bayard on Jan. 31, 1917. She later spent several years in Oregon, returning her in 1928, where she has since resided.

She was a member of the Methodist church in Bayard for a period of several years, and when her health permitted, was an active and faithful member as well as in business and social affairs. Her late illness extended over a period of several months, the last five weeks being spent at the home of her brother in Stratton, Nebr., where she passed away.

Immediate relatives surviving are one sister, Marian Reynolds, and three brothers, Howard and Myron Reynolds of Bayard, and Eugene Reynolds of Stratton. Services in charge of Rev. F. N. Wells, were held at Stratton Monday at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Interment took place at Bayard Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
