MARION REYNOLDS PASSES SUDDENLY TUESDAY EVENING

BAYARD TRANSCRIPT NEWS REPORTER CALLED

We are taught in our bibles, that in the 'Midst of life we are in death' and no man knoweth when the call of death will come and our souls will be wafted to Heaven, there to meet our Maker face to face.

The sudden death of Miss Marion Reynolds, pioneer business woman of this city, and for the past several years local reporter on the Transcript, came as not only a shock to all who knew her but as a distinct personal loss to his paper and its former and present publisher.

She loved to write and was never happier than when she was "hunting news" and with her almost uncanny remembrance of names and people, she obtained many items of interest that would have been overlooked by the average person.

As a semi-invalid in her early girl and young womanhood she was deprived of many things which to some extent made her life a little bitter but was lost in the company of her many friends.

At about seven o'clock, Monday night, she called the Fallerts, present publishers, and asked them to stop at her apartment to pick up some items. They stopped about 7:30 and on knocking received no response and decided they would call for the items in the morning.

At exactly what time Miss Reynolds 'passed on' is not known and her lifeless body was found the next morning by friends.

Miss Reynolds came from the Taylor Ancestry which has been traced back to 1630 which includes many men and women notables along the line.

She came to Bayard with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Robert Reynolds from Ashland in the early 1900's and embarked in the milliner business which she conducted for several years.

At lodge gatherings and social affairs she was very popular as she possessed a keen sense of humor and in such activities she played her part well.

In December she became ill and for a time was unable to carry on her work but again regaining her strength and with a phone installed at her apartment she was able to carry on until the end.

Funeral services will be held from the Plummer Funeral Home Sat. afternoon at 2 P.M. for Miss Marion Reynolds.
