Miss Gertrude Lillian Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Hoffman, Frederick street and John S. Hollinger, son of Mrs. Ada S. Hollinger, Fourth street, and the late D. Guy Hollinger; and Miss Emily Jane Kiick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Kiick, 27 McAllister street, and Robert K. Walter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver O. Walter, Fifth street, were married Saturday evening at 5:30 o'clock at a double wedding ceremony performed in the Methodist Episcopal parsonage at elkton, Md., by the Rev. Mr. Wheatley. Mrs. Hollinger is a graduate of the Hanover High school, and at present is employed in the office of the York County Farms, Exchange Place. Mr. Hollinger is a graduate of the Hanover High school and attended Temple University, Philadelphia. He is employed in the office of D. Guy Hollinger & Brother, Carlisle street, conducted by his mother. For the present they will reside at their respective homes. Mrs. Walter is also a graduate of the Hanover High school. Mr. Walter is a graduate of the Hanover High school and was graduated Friday at the Willamson Trade School, near Philadelphia.

Trude Hoffman Hollinger, 61, wife of John Slagle Hollinger Sr., 5 Holly Court, died this morning at the North Beach Medical Center, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She had been in ill health. A native of Hanover, she was a daughter of Harry and Irene Stauffer Hoffman, 256 Frederick St.
An accomplished artist, she received various awards for her paintings and had a number of her paintings exhibited.
She was a 1933 graduate of Hanover High School and a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church; the Hanover Art Association and the York Art Guild.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents, are two sons and two daughters, William G. Hollinger, 449 Clearview Road, Lisbeth H. Bargelt, 2731 Twenty-third St., Greely, Colo.; Mrs. Edward (Susan) Burch, 4313 Briggs Chaney Road, Beltsville, Md., John S Hollinger Jr., 1041 Keith Drive; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Miller, 322 Clearview road; Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Hirt, Gettysburg RD 6; Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Little, 212 Country Club Lane, Carterville, Ill.
Private, graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rev. Arthur L. Ruths will officiate. The Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of other memorials, contributions may be made to the Hanover Public Library or to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

HANOVER
John S. Hollinger Sr., of Atlantis, Fla., and Hanover, and a former York County Recorder of Deeds, died at 9:15 p.m. Friday evening at his Hanover home. He was 74.
Mr. Hollinger was a semi-retired partner in the family business of D. Guy Hollinger and Bro., a 118-year-old Hanover real estate and insurance agency. He operated the business for 35 years before retiring in 1977.
He was Hanover justice of the peace, 1944-1946. He was a director of the former First National Bank & Trust Co., and its successors from 1955 to 1978.
Active in Republican politics, he served on the executive committee of the county party from 1963 to 1976, believed to be the longest tenure ever on that committee. He was appointed recorder of deeds in 1963 by former Gov. William Scranton. Sheriff Oliver C. Nace appointed him an honorary deputy sheriff in 1972.
He donated the De Guy Avenue Playground to the Hanover Community Recreation Association in 1954. He was a past president of both the Hanover Country Club and Hanover Chamber of Commerce. He was the originator and for several years served as chairman of the Hanover Horse Show. he sang with the Elks Chorus. An avid golfer, he had three holes-in-one during his lifetime.
He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. H e was a 1934 graduate of Eichelberger High School and attended Temple University.
He was born in Hanover, a son of the late D. Guy and Ada Shultz Hollinger.
Husband of the late Trudi Hoffman Hollinger, he leaves his wife, Arlene Utz Hollinger; two sons, William G. Hollinger, Frederica, Del., and John S. Hollinger Jr., Hanover; two daughters, Lisbeth McLane, Lighthouse Point, Fla., and Susan Burch, Beltsville, Md.; a stepson, Michael W. Rice, Hanover; two stepdaughters, Andrea L. Schulte, Miami, Fla., and Suzanne E. Sullivan, Jupiter, Fla.; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a sister, Madge Hearn, Hanover.
Visitation is to be 9:30 to 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 32 W. Chestnut St., Hanover. The service is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the church with his pastor, the Rev. Eric P. Wogen, officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
