At a double wedding ceremony which took place yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock in Trinity Reformed church, York street, Miss Geraldine Louise Hoffman and her sister, Miss Margaret Irene Hoffman, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Hoffman, 256 Frederick street, became the brides respectively of Robert Eugene Hirt, Silver Spring, Md., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hirt, 52 McAllister street, and Harold Edmund Little, Oaks, Pa., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond A. Little, 536 Broadway. THe double ring ceremony of the Reformed church was performed by the pastor, the Rev. Howard E. Sheely, and the pastor emeritus, the Rev. Dr. Marsby J. Roth, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends of the couples.
The church was attractively decorated for the occasion with palms, ferns and baskets of cut flowers. Preceding the ceremony while the guests were assembling, Harold R. Frantz, organist of Trinity church, presented a fifteen-minute recital. Mr. Frantz also played the wedding marches, using the "Bridal Chorus" from "Lohengrin" by Wagner as the processional, and "wedding March" from "Midsummer Night's Dream" by Mendelssohn, as the recessional.
Miss Geraldine Hoffman was attended by her sister, Mrs. John S. Hollinger, Hanover, as matron of honor, and Mrs. George E. Myers, Westminster, Md., as bridesmaid. Mr. Hirt had for his best man Martin Keller, Carlisle. Miss Margaret Hoffman was attended by another sister, Mrs. Robert J. Miller, Hanover, as matron of honor, and Miss Yvonne Forney, Hanover, as bridesmaid. Mr. Little had for his best man, his brother, Richard Little, Hanover. Serving as ushers were John S. Hollinger and Robert J. Miller, Hanover, brothers-in-law of the brides, and George E. Myers and John francis Bowers, Westminster.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the brides' parents for the members of the immediate families and a few out-of-town guests. After the reception the two couples left on a wedding trip to points of interest in northern states.
Both the brides and the bridegrooms are graduates of the Eichelberger Senior High school. Mr. Hirt is also a graduate of the Williamson Trade School, near Philadelphia, and Mr. Little attended Gettysburg college for two years.
Upon their return from the wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Hirt will reside at 901 Pershing Drive, Silver Spring, Md., where Mr. Hirt is employed as a machinist by the American Instrument Company. Mr. and Mrs. Little will reside at 606 DeKalb street, Norristown. Mr. Little is employed as a toolmaker by the Synthane Corporation, Oaks, Pa.

Margaret H. Little, 76, a homemaker, died of cancer Tuesday, March 18, 1997, in Colorado Springs.
Memorial services were March 23 at Broadmoor Community Church. The Rev. George Otto officiated. Cremation is planned, with Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, handling arrangements.
Mrs. Little was born Jan. 3, 1921, in Hanover, Pa., to Harry and Irene Stauffer Hoffman, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 3, 1941, in Hanover, to Harold E. Little. Her former husband lives in Chipita Park.
Mrs. Little volunteered at the Colorado Springs Visitors Bureau, Broadmoor Community Church and Women's Fellowship. She enjoyed her family, traveling, photography and gourmet cooking. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1984, spending summers in Chipita Park.
She is also survived by a son, Steve, Rock Island; daughters, Gretchen Schultz, Colorado Springs, Stacey Smith, Escondido, Calif., and Kari Dotson, Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Geraldine Hirt, Gettysburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Miller and Gertrude Hollinger.

Harold Edmund Little, 85, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Monday Feb. 28, 2005 at The Life Care Center of Scottsdale after a long illness.
He was born June 9, 1919, in Hanover, to the late Raymond A. and Carrie V. (Martz) Little.
Mr. Little was the husband of Margaret (Hoffman) for 43 years. They were marred in 1941.
He is survived by their four children, Steven T. Little (Linda) of Port Byron, Ill., Gretchen Schultz (Ralph) of Marshfield, Mo., Stacey I. Smith-Bacon (Adam) of Oceanside, Calif., and Kari A. Dotson (Jonathon) of Springfield, Ill.; brothers Richard H. Little (Louise) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Raymond C. Little (Helen) of Bel Air, Md.; five grandchildren, Patrick A. Little, Laura J. Morris, Perry E. Smith, Cary Bush and David Bush; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He is also survived by his companion since 1983, Eleanor Crane Smith of Scottsdale, Ariz., and her three sons, Ross, Scott and Brett.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Helena B. (Little) Reichart.
He was a 1936 graduate of Eichelberger High School in Hanover and attended Gettysburg College for two years. He served during World War II with the 1st Army, 78th Division and Remagen, Germany, and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1951 and received his license to practice architecture in the state of Pennsylvania. He had an architectural practice in Hanover in the 1960s, during which time he designed the addition to the Hanover Public Library. He was a member of the Trinity Congregational United Church of Christ of Hanover, a member there of the consistory and, as an architect, planned the extensive remodeling of the church building.
Mr. Little taught architecture at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for 17 years. He retired from teaching in 1981 and moved to Chipita Park, Colo. While there, he enjoyed traveling, was interested in narrow gauge railroading and loved camping, and hiking and being in the out-of-doors. He became a part-time resident of Scottsdale, Ariz., in 1998, later moving there permanently for health reasons. He was extremely loving and supportive of his family, who will miss him greatly.
No formal service is planned. Internment of the cremated remains will be performed by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Parkinson's Disease Foundation or the National Parkinson Foundation (USA).
