Abbeys Mark 25th Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Abbey of Kennedy were honored at an open house Sunday on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary, at the home of Mrs. Abbey's niece, Mrs. Phillip N. VanRensselaer and Mr. VanRensselaer in Kennedy.

The affair was given by Mr. Abbey's son, Singleton Abbey and Mrs. Abbey and the couples' granddaughters, Mrs. Fred Obert, Mrs. Paul Hellman, Miss Jane Abbey and Miss Patricia Abbey. Mrs. Abbey wore a black crepe dress and corsage of roses which was given to her by Mr. and Mrs. Abbey.

Mr. and Mrs. Abbey were married by he Rev. M. H. Horton, Ellington. The couple has one great granddaughter, Lisa Obert.

FINGER LACERATED

Clarence G. Abbey, 52, of Kennedy, sustained a lacerated finger when it became wedged between two beams while he was working on a construction job in Sherman this morning, according to Jamestown General Hospital where he was taken for treatment.

Mrs. Catherine Abbey, wife of Clarence Abbey of Kennedy, died this morning at 11:35 o'clock at the W. C. A. hospital. She was 47 years of age.
