Walter Abbey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Abbey, and Miss Mildred Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Clark of Brocton, were quietly married at the home of the bride's sister in North East Saturday, May 10th. They will make their home in East Randolph with the groom's parents.

Walter W. Abbey, 74, of East Randolph (R.D. 1, Randolph), died at 3:29 Sunday, June 15, 1975 at W.C.A. Hospital, Jamestown.
Born March 20, 1901 in Randolph, he was the son of Nelson and Nellie Brown Abbey. Except for the years 1973-74 when he lived in San Jose, Calif., he has been a resident of this area all his life.
Mr. Abbey was Town of Randolph highway superintendent for six years and at the time of his retirement in 1963 was employed by the Cattaraugus County Highway Department.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Randolph.
He was married May 10, 1924 to Mildred Clark and they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in San Jose last year. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Stanley, Robert and Frederick Abbey, all of Randolph; four daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Edna) Loucks of San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Fred (Joyce) Luce of East Randolph, Mrs. Gary (Elsie) Pickett of Orlando, Fla., and Shirley Abbey at home; one brother, Clarence Abbey of Heritage Village, Gerry; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Van Rensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph. The Rev. Lee Einfeldt of Mayville officiated. Burial was in Randolph Cemetery.

CONEWANGO VALLEY — Mildred W. Abbey, 79, of Conewango Road died last night (Jan. 12, 1982) in WCA Hospital, Jamestown.
She was born Dec. 21, 1902, in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Ezra and Rizpah Bennett Clark. Mrs. Abbey lived in the Randolph area most of her life, except when she lived in San Jose, Calif., from 1963 to 1980.
She had been employed in the laundry at the Randolph Children's Home.
Mrs. Abbey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Randolph, and taught Sunday school and Bible school at that church and at the Campbell Baptist Church, San Jose.
On May 10, 1924, she married Walter Abbey, who died June 15, 1975.
Surviving are two sons: Stanley and Frederick Abbey, both of Randolph; four daughters, Edna Loucks, Conewango Valley; Shirley Abbey, Randolph; Joyce Reynolds, Randolph; and Elsie Pickett San Jose; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the VanRenssalaer and Son Funeral Home, Randolph, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Carlton Baker of the Conewango Baptist Church and the Rev. Lee. Einfeldt of the First Baptist Church of Randolph.
Burial will be in Randolph Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Conewango Baptist Church or the First Baptist Church of Randolph.
