Mrs. Leone Bell, wife of Louis A. Bell, local hardware merchant, died Saturday morning at 2 o'clock of hardening of the arteries. Mrs. Bell had been ailing for several years, but had only been seriously ill for a few days prior to her death. Her passing came as a shock to the entire community, only a few people realizing her acute condition.
Mrs. Bell was born in Knightstown and was the daughter of the late J. Lee Furgason, once well known lawyer of this place. Both of Mrs. Bell's parents have been dead many years. She was 58 years old at time of death. Having lived here practically all her life, she was one of the best known women in this city, and popular in the circles in which she moved.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bell were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from her late home, conducted by Rev. Rowlan Badger, pastor of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was a member. Interment took place at Glencove cemetery, in charge of C. F. Baxter.

Louis A. Bell, aged 69 years, manager of Bell's hardware store for many years, died Sunday night at 6:30 o'clock, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, East Main street, of pneumonia, after an illness of one week.
He was the son of William and Addie Bell and was born and reared in Knightstown and received his early training and schooling here. He had managed the hardware store since the death of his father about 29 years ago. Mr. Bell's wife died September 3, 1927. He had lived practically alone since here death.
Deceased was a Knights Templar Mason and was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, at whose home he died; Mrs. Clara Thornton, of Miami, Fla., and one brother, R. L. Bell, cashier of Citizens National Bank.
Funeral services for Mr. Bell were held from the home of his sister, Mrs. Smith, at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. T. Graham, of Indianapolis, former pastor of Bethel Presbyterian Church. Burial was a Glencove cemetery in charge of C. F. Baxter.
