Luther Boyer

Luther Boyer, 91, formerly of 22 W. Hanover St., died Saturday at Hanover General Hospital. He was a resident of the Homewood Retirement Center. He was the husband of Nancy S. Hershey Boyer, who lives at Homewood.

Born in Menges Mills, he was the son of the late George H. and Kathryn Stambaugh Boyer. He was employed by The Hanover Shoe Inc. for 34 years and was employed by the Gettysburg Shoe Co. for 12 years before he retired.

He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the Men's Bible Class of the church and the Hanover Home Association. He was a lifetime member of the P.O.S. of A.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Helen) Martin, Redding Lane, Gettysburg RD 8; a grandson; a great-grandson; a brother, George S. Boyer, Golden Age Nursing Home; and a sister, Margie E. Sullivan, 859 Broadway.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, with the Rev. Dr. Arthur Ruths officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until services Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. matthew Church.

Nancy A. Boyer

HANOVER — Nancy A. (Hershey) Boyer, 95, of Hanover Homewood Retirement Center, formerly of 22 W. Hanover St., died at 4:05 a.m. Saturday at the home. She was the wife of the late Luther Boyer.

The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Mrs. Boyer was born in Hanover, the daughter of the late John and Lucinda (Krug) Hershey.

She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Boyer is survived by a daughter, Carol Martin, 15 Redding Lane, Gettysburg; a grandson and three great-grandchildren.

Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Arthur L. Ruths.
