Word has been received at Brock of the marriage of Miss Marguerite Busey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Busey, Townsend, Mont., and William Rouppee, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Rouppee, Canton Valley, Mont. They were married March 30 in the Episcopal church at Helena, Mont.
The bride lived at Brock until the family moved to Montana about three years ago. She attended the Brock schools and was a senior in the high school at Townsend this year. She has many friends in Brock and vicinity who will extend congratulations and good wishes. Mr. Rouppee is associated with his father in the operation of a ranch near Canton Valley, Mont.

William J. Roope, 70, of Townsend, died at St. Peter's Hospital early Monday morning following a brief illness.
He was born in Townsend Dec. 23, 1919, to Ray and Edith Walter Roope.
He attended Townsend schools and farmed and ranched in that area until 1954 when he moved to Loveland, Colo. He moved to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1957, where he worked as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator on test site construction.
On March 30, 1938, he married Marguerite Bucy. They later divorced.
Then he married Juanita "Billie" Ayers in Las Vegas.
Mr. Roope retired in 1975 and was in the process of moving back to Townsend at the time of his death.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA and Operating Engineers No. 12 in Las Vegas.
Mr. Roope was preceded in death by his father, wife of Las Vegas and good friend Ida Williamson.
Survivors include his son Dennis Roope and daughter Mrs. Tim (Cheryl) Heinle, both of Helena; mother, Helena Nursing Home resident; grandchildren Bill, Doug, James, Daniel and Mike Roope, Corey, Joe and Mike Cote, and Chelsy Heinle, all of Helena; and five great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Connors Mortuary Chapel in Townsend with the Rev. Gary Kelly officiating.
Interment of ashes will be in Deep Creek Cemetery.

Marguerite Louise (Bucy) Roope, age 82, of Helena died Feb. 11, 2002. The daughter of Arthur and Ida Bucy, she was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Beatrice, Neb. She was one of seven children born of this marriage. The family moved to Canton Valley near Townsend in 1934.
She married William Roope in Townsend in 1938. She worked at the Mint Cafe in Townsend, before moving to Helena in the early 1950s.
She worked at the Colonial Club for years and then for the Highway Patrol office until she retired.
She was a member of the Cory Dullum Post #10010 Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son Dennis (Betty) Roope of Helena; a daughter Cheryl (Tim) Heinle of Helena; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; brothers Leo and LeRoy Bucy; sisters Mildred Nebold, Berniece Mason and Reba Clevenger.
At her request, no type of funeral services are to be held. Memorials may be given to the Cory Dullum Post #10010 VFW, Auxiliary, P.O. Box 97, East Helena, MT 59635. Arrangement have been entrusted to Hagler-Anderson Mortuary.
