Arthur LeRoy Bucy, 89, East Helena, died Saturday morning at the Warm Springs State Hospital.
He was born May 2, 1865, in Ohio. He married Ida May Wallace in Burchard, Neb., on Aug. 9, 1905. He worked as a carpenter, mason and painter in Nebraska and Missouri before settling in Canton Valley, near Townsend, in 1934 where he was a farmer and carpenter.
After moving to Lewistown in 1951, Mr. Bucy and his wife settled in the Helena area. He admitted himself to the state hospital in Warm Springs last summer.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine Lorraine, who died at Riverton, Neb., in 1923, and a son, Leo Sanford, who died in Texas in 1945.
Survivors include his wife, Ida, of Western Care Nursing home; four daughters, Mildred, Covina, Calif., Reba and Bernice, East Helena, and Marguerite, Helena; one son, LeRoy, Helena; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Corners Chapel in Townsend.
Pallbearers will be Charles Murray, Allen Lingenfelter, Mike Lingenfelter, Dennis Roope, Bill Sands and John Bucy.

Ida May Bucy, 89, East Helena, died Tuesday at St. Peter's Hospital where she had been a patient for a week.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Connors Mortuary in Townsend. Burial will be in Deep Creek Cemetery, Townsend.
Mrs. Bucy was born April 26, 1887, in Garden City, Mo. She married Arthur LeRoy Bucy in Burchard, Neb., on Aug. 9, 1906. They lived in Nebraska and Missouri before settling in Canton Valley near Townsend in 1934. They moved to Lewistown in 1949 and then settled in the Helena area.
Preceeding her in death were her husband in 1974; a daughter, Maxine Lorraine, in 1923, and a son, Leo Sanford, in 1945.
Survivors include four daughters, Mildred, Covina, Calif., Reba and Bernice, East Helena, Marguerite, Helena; a son, LeRoy, Wenatchee, Wash.; two sisters, Esther Crandall, Seattle, Wash., Blanche Gravatt, Graceville, Minn.; a brother, Everett Wallace, Omaha, Neb.; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
