She was born April 20, 1908 in Philip, Haakon, South Dakota,7238 and died January 1, 2000 in Helena, Lewis & Clark, Montana.7238 She is buried in Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City, Otoe, Nebraska.456

L. B. Clevenger Dies Friday

Lester B. Clevenger, 64, 309 W. Riggs, East Helena, died early Friday morning at St. John's Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born Feb. 29, 1908 in Peru, Neb. He attended schools there and also Peru State Normal College.

He was married Dec. 2, 1934 to Reba Bucy. They came to Townsend where he worked on a ranch. They returned to Auburn, Neb., where he was engaged in farming for 13 years. They moved to East Helena in 1960 where he was employed as a painter and carpenter.

He was a life long member of the Peru Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Reba, East Helena; his mother, Lula Clevenger, Nebraska City, Neb.; one brother, Ralph Clevenger, Downer Grove, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father.

Chapel services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hagler Mortuary. Interment will be in Forestvale Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Robert C. Casey, Dr. T. C. Betzner, Ross H. Morey, J. Einar Larson, Alex B. Stephenson and Keith A. Freseman.

Reba Clevenger

Reba L. Clevenger passed away at Jan. 1, 2000.

She and her husband Lester were farmers in Nebraska for many years before coming to Montana in the early 1950s. She loved her yard and flower garden in her later years.

Reba is survived by one sister, Marguerite Roope in Helena and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband; her parents, Arthur L. Bucy and Ida Mae Wallace Bucy; two brothers, Leroy and Leo; three sisters, Mildred, Berniece and Maxine.

Reba's remains were sent to the Casey-Witztenburg Funeral Home in Auburn, Neb., for services on Friday, Jan. 7, with interment services in the Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, Neb. No services are planned in Helena. Hagler-Anderson Mortuary was in charge of local arrangements.
