Former Local Teacher to Be Buried Today

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. for Miss Mary E. Button, who for 12 years was a study hall teacher in Mont Pleasant high school. Miss Button died Sunday in Cranford, NJ. THE FUNERAL will be conducted at Baxter's Funeral parlors and burial will be in Park View cemetery.

Miss Button was born in Waterford and had attended Union Classical Institute in Schenectady and the Wheelock School in Boston. For 30 years she taught kindergarten in Elmer Avenue school and then went to Mont Pleasant.

Miss Button's father was one of the Edison pioneers and she lived in the homestead at 69 Union avenue for many years. Her last local address was Sunnyside avenue, Scotia, and from there she moved to Stone Harbor, NJ. She was a member of the First Reformed Chuch of Schenectady.

DAUGHTER OF the late Thoedore and Anne E. Button and sister of the late Mrs. Howard Terrell and Scott Button, she is survived by two nephews, Theodore E. Steers, of Summitt, NJ. and William V. Steers of Cranford, NJ, and a niece, Mrs. Arthur W. Robinson of Burnt Hills.
