S. B. EDDY, PIONEER MINNESOTAN, DEAD

Funeral services were held this aftrenoon at 12:45 p.m. at Lakewood chapel for Stillman B. Eddy, 74 years old, pioneer Minnesotan, who died Wednesday at his home at 4646 Nicollet avenue. Mr. Eddy came to Minnesota from Rochester, N. Y., and settled on a farm near Zumbrota 62 years ago. He moved to Minneapolis in 1888.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. E. W. Hansen, and a son, John Eddy.

MRS. MARY E. EDDY

Mrs. Mary E. Eddy, 76, widow of Stillman B. Eddy and mother of the late John Almon Eddy, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Erling W. Hanson, 4504 Drexel avenue south. She was born in Zumbrota, Minn., where she lived until her marriage to Mr. Eddy in 1881. Since 1889, Mrs. Eddy had been a reisdent of Minneapolis. She was a member of Simspon Methodist Episcopal church for 45 years and was a charter member of the Eighth ward W.C.T.U. Active in church and club work for many years, Mrs. Eddy was a past president of the Northern Minnesota conference of the Women's Home Missionary society of the Methodist Episcopal church. Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Hanson, and a brother, Horace E. Shedd, Bluefield, W. Va. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Monday at Lakewood chapel with interment in Lakewood cemetery.
