Hinckley-Eliason

Embarked on a honeymoon are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln R. Eliason, whose marriage was solemnized in Salt Lake L D S temple Tuesday. The bride, formerly Miss Cleo Hinckley, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Parnell Hinckley, 2558-9th East. Mr. Eliason is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Eliason of Deseret.

Honoring the newlyweds was a reception at the HInckley home Tuesday evening. For her wedding, the bride was attired in white satin gown and finger-tip veil which hung from a pearl tiara.

Attending the bride were Miss Genevieve Eliason and Miss Marjorie Hinckley. Eldon A. Eliason was best man.

The bride is a former student of Brigham Young university and is now a student at University of Utah, where she is affiliated with Lamda Delta Sigma fraternity.

Mr. Eliason is a graduate of U. of U., where he was affiliated with Delta Phi fraternity.

Obituary: Lincoln R Eliason

DESERET

Lincoln Robison Eliason, age 84, passed away February 28, 2002 in Delta. Born Feb 12, 1918 in Fillmore to Ephriam Jacob and Lois Hattie Robison Eliason.

He married Cleo Hinckley, May 10, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from Hinckley Academy and the University of Utah. He served three missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also served as bishop, high councilman, teacher, librarian, school board president, rancher, author, historian, and most importantly as husband and father.

Survived by wife, Cleo; 10 children, Martin (Sally), Dixon (Laura), Julia (Steve) Miner, Tracy (Cheryl), Sylvia (Chance) Williams, Coleen (Keith) Johansen, Brian (Gail), Preston (Deidre), Maria (Ron) Nordhagen, Tanya Eliason; 33 grandchildren; sister, Gene-vieve Larsen. Preceded in death by son, Justin; brothers, Eldon, Max, Phil.

Services Mon. March 4, 2002, 11 a.m., Deseret-Oasis Ward chapel. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, Delta, Sun. 7-8 p.m. and at the church, Mon. 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial, Deseret Cemetery.

Cleo Hinckley Eliason, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2013, in Delta, Utah surrounded by family. She was born August 22, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ira Parnell and Cleo Cranney Hinckley. She married Lincoln Robison Eliason in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on May 10, 1949. He died February 28, 2002. They had 11 children.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served two missions to Cove Fort and a two year Church Service Mission with her husband. She served as Relief Society President and in many other church callings. She was an avid supporter of Fort Deseret and belonged to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Garden Club, and Fine Arts Club. She loved serving the people of her community.

She is survived by her sisters: Josephine of Trenton, NJ; Marjorie (Fred) of Ann Arbor, MI; her children: Martin (Sally) of Riverton; Dixon (Laura) of Deseret; Julia (Steve) of Cedar City; Tracy (Cheryl) of Deseret; Sylvia (Chance) of Woodland Hills; (Keith) of Heber City; Brian (Gail) of Deseret; Preston (Deidre) of Deseret; Maria (Ron) of Pleasant Grove; Tanya (Dan) of West Jordan; 36 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband: Lincoln; daughter: Coleen; son: Justin; sister: Harriet; and brothers: King and David.

The family wishes to thank Diamond D and the Deseret-Oasis Ward for their loving care and support.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at the Deseret-Oasis LDS Ward Chapel, 3423 West 4500 South. Friends may call at the church, 9:30-10:40 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Deseret Cemetery.4066
