MERRILLE EVANS DIES SUDDENLY MONDAY EVENING

Merrille W. (Bob) Evans, 7035 Lakeview Drive, Union Lake, died suddenly of a heart attack at 10:30 p.m., August 12, at the M. M. Evans Real Estate office.

Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. E. T. Bernthal, of Epiphany Lutheran church of Detroit, will be held in the Sullivan Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m., Friday. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial cemetery.

He was born January 21, 1896, in Oxford, Neb. He leaves his wife, Myrtle M.; daughter Peggy Ann; two brothers, Judson of Los Angeles, Calif., and Harold B. of Madison, Wis.; sister, Mrs. Mayme Evans, of Riverside, Calif., and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Evans, of Farmington, N. M.

He lived in Hazel Park 22 years until moving to Union Lake a year ago. He was formerly with the Ford Motor Co. for 17 years but for the past six years had been in business at the M. M. Evans Real Estate office.

He was a veteran of world War I, entering the army May 29, 1917. He went overseas as a sergeant and was discharged June 11, 1919.
