SIMON FLEWELLING DEAD AT AGE OF 86

Passed at Daughter's Home Here Following Lingering Illness.

Simon E. Flewelling, father of Bell Flewelling, this city, died at two o'clock Monday afternoon from a lingering illness following an attack of influenza several weeks ago.

Deceased was born in Cass county, Michigan, June 21, 1842. He moved to Bellaire about forty years ago and for the past three years had been residing with his daughter in this city. Mr. Flewelling was married in Warren, Ohio, 62 years ago to Mary J. Stanley, who died in 1912. Dr. Bell Flewelling of this city is the only surviving member of a family of nine children.

Short services will be held in the apartment in the postoffice building Thursday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock, followed by services in Bellaire at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. B. G. Mattson will officiate at Charlevoix and Rev. A. W. Baker at Bellaire. Interment will be at Lake View cemetery, Bellaire. Dr. Frank H. Wilkinson will sing at the services.
