LOUIS FOY

Died at his residence near East Randolph, Wednesday morning, of consumption, aged 29 years.

Louis was the eldest child of Era and Clarissa Foy. He was a promising young man just entering upon the responsibilities of life, one whose future might have been the brightest and most successful. His death was sudden, although it has been known for some time that a dreadful disease had claimed him for its victim. Only a day or two before death he was out and rode to the village. His young wife and two small children are thus early bereft of a kind husband and father who together with all his friends have the sympathy of the community in their affliction.

The funeral will take place at the home Frida afternoon at one o'clock.

MRS. EMMA BAGG DIED SUNDAY NIGHT

Esteemed Resident of East Randolph Fell Asleep.

SEVERE SURGICAL OPERATION

Which it was Hoped would Prolong Life Failed in its Mission — Funeral Largely Attended Tuesday.

Mrs. Emma Bagg, wife of William Bagg, died at her home in East Randolph Sunday evening after a protracted sickness extending over a period of about ten months. Early last fall Mrs. Bagg's health began to fail and after a few week's treatment by local physicians, it was decided to submit her case to a specialist. As a result of the latter's diagnosis Mrs. Bagg underwent a severe operation in a Buffalo hospital. She returned home seemingly much benefited but the insiduous disease which human skill failed to eradicate, again sapper her vitality until the end came.

Mrs. Bagg was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmet Cowan and was born in South Valley, april 21, 1859. At the age of 22 years she was married to Louis Foy and afterward lived on a farm about two miles north of East Randolph until the death of her husband which occurred in 1888. She then removed to East Randolph where for seventeen years she took up the burden of life with a heroism and cheerfulness rarely exemplified. Her greatest ambition lay in the well being and education of her son and daughter and her devotion to their interests was frequently noted by neighbors and friends.

In 1905 she was united in marriage with Mr. Bagg and her remaining years were passed in ease and comfort until the fatal malady claimed her for its victim.

Possessed of a genial temperament Mrs Bagg was beloved by an unusually large circle of friends. Her life is a shining example of a true wife and mother and her memory will remain as a rich legacy to those who knew her.

The funeral was attended at the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Levi Reese of Randolph officiating. Interment in East Randolph cemetery.
