Randolph — Mrs. Bessie Foy Stafford, wife of Dana Stafford, of East Randolph, died Tuesday morning at the Salamanca Hospital, where she underwent an operation. She was 60 years old. Besides her husband she is survived by one brother, Glenn Foy, Salamanca. Mrs. Stafford was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church at East Randolph and had been employed as bookkeeper for the Farmers' Insurance Co-operative at East Randolph for many years. The funeral will be held at the Foy home in East Randolph, Friday at 2 P. M. Rev. Eugene Chapman of Canadaigua, former rector at St. Paul's Church, will officiate, with burial in East Randolph Cemetery.

The death of Mrs. Bessie Foy Stafford, 60, wife of Dana Stafford of East Randolph occurred Tuesday morning at the Salamanca City Hospital following an operation. Mrs. Stafford had been in failing health for about three months, however few realized that her condition was grave. She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday.
Bessie Claire Foy was the daughter of Lewis and Emma Cowan Foy and was born on Lower Elm Creek, May 26, 1882. She has lived in East Randolph virtually all of her life. She was a member of the first class to be graduated from the East Randolph High School. She was also a graduate of Jamestown Business College and had been employed in the office of the Cattaraugus County Farmers Insurance Company for 30 years and at the time of her death was assistant secretary and treasurer. Owing to her alertness and accuracy she was well qualified for the responsible position which she held. She also possessed q personality which was the confidence of all with whom she came in contact. For the past several years she has been secretary and treasurer of the East Randolph Cemetery Association.
She has been a devoted member of St. Paul's Mission in East Randolph for many years and a regular attendant upon all of its services.
On June 1, 1939 she was united in marriage to Dana Stafford who survives. She is also survived by a brother, Glenn Foy of Salamanca, and two nephews. Miss Edith Foy of East Randolph is an aunt and J. H. Foy of East Orange, N. J., and Eric Cowan of East Randolph are uncles.
Funeral services will be held at the Foy home in East Randolph Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Eugene Chapman of Canadaigua, former rector of St. Paul's Mission, will officiate. Bearers will be Stewart Miller, H. G. Merrill, Leo Covert, Hugh Johnson, Tyler Robinson and Clifford Milks and burial will be in East Randolph cemetery.

RANDOLPH — Funeral services for Dana Stafford, eighty-three, of East Randolph, a retired farmer, were held this afternoon in Grace Episcopal Church here with burial in East Randolph Cemetery. The Rev. Ernest MacEachers, rector, officiate.
Mr. Stafford died Sunday in the home of Charles Sample, Randolph RD.
Born April 1, 1875 in Perrysburg, Mr. Stafford had lived in East Randolph several years. In 1922, he spent a year in England. He took a trip around the world in 1924.
Mr. Stafford was a member and past master of Phoenix Lodge 262, F. & A.M., of Gowanda. Member of the lodge held Masonic services Tuesday evening at the Myers Funeral Home.
Mr. Stafford left no immediate survivors. His wife, Mrs. Bessie Foy Stafford, died in 1942, about three years after they were married.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Foy, Salamanca, were among those from away who attended the funeral.
