Geoge S. Grimes and Miss Jennie Alden were married last Saturday evening at the house of the bride, at Lake Harriet. They will reside near the lake.

George S. Grimes, 82, veteran of 60 years of practicing law in Minneapolis, collapsed and died during arguments in a civil case before District Judge Paul S. Carroll late Tuesday.
Court attaches said Mr. Grimes had boasted of his good health minutes before he began arguing a motion before Carroll. He was stricken suddenly, fell to the floor and died in a few minutes before arrival of an ambulance.
Former president of the Hennepin County Bar association, Mr. Grimes was graduated from University of Minnesota and University of Michigan law school. He was a member of a pioneer family which homesteaded a section of St. Louis Park and Morningside. Grimes avenue was named after his family.
Surviving him, besides his wife, are three daughters, Mrs. Jack Manders, wife of the former Gopher football star; Mrs. Ernest Lindley, wife of the Star Journal columnist; and Dr. Marian Grimes, a Minneapolis physician and one son, John Alden Grimes.

Services for Mrs. Jennie M. Grimes, 99, 2500 Blaisdell Av., who died Thursday, were to be held today.
Mrs. Grimes, a direct descendant of John Alden, the pilgrim, was born in Rochester, Minn., and moved to Minneapolis about 90 years ago.
She was a member of the Minneapolis Women's Club, the Minneapolis Art Institute's Friends of the Institute and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was the widow of George S. Grimes, an attorney, who died in 1942.
Mrs. Grimes is survived by a son, John Alden Grimes, Arlington, Va.; and three daughters, Mrs. Ernest K. (Betty) Lindley, Washington, D.C., Dr. Marian Grimes (Mrs. Francis Collins), Minneapolis, and Mrs. Jack (Virginia G.) Manders, Oak Brook, Ill.
Lindley, formerly Washington editor of Newsweek magazine, is special assistant to Secretary of State Dean Rusk. Manders is the former University of Minnesota and Chicago Bears football player.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. W. A. Wheeler, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Ruth A. Aldrich, Ojai, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
