Hammond, Grant Pitkin (98) Of Los Angeles, died Feb. 16, 2004. He was born Nov. 3, 1905 at Millville, Utah to Estus Hammond and Ida Pitkin. He was a property owner and retired as a butcher from Safeway Markets. He was a past member of the Moose and Elks Lodges and Butcher Union 770. He is survived by his wife Mary L. Hammond of L.A., stepson and wife Gabe and Gayle Rangel of Morgan Hill, CA, stepdaughter and husband Mary Lou and Dwight Entriken of La Quinta, CA, former daughter-in-law Jean Baldwin of Surprise, AZ, eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and niece Helen Roth of Logan, Utah. Service was Sat., Feb. 21, at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood with Funeraria Los Angeles Pierce Bros. Mortuary on Washington Blvd., L.A. in charge of arrangements.
