MRS. RUTH CHARON WEDS FLOYD FREDERICK

Announcement was made this week of the marriage of Mrs. Ruth Charon of this city, to Mr. Floyd Frederick of Denver.

The marriage rites were performed by the Reverend Ferguson at 8 o'clock Friday evening, February 1 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Frederick in Denver, in the presence of twenty guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Sheline of Golden, were the couple's only attendants. A reception was held in the Frederick home immediately following the ceremony, after which the couple left on a short honeymoon trip.

The bride wore a blue street dress with white accessories and a corsage of gardenias and rose. Mrs. Sheline wore a burgundy colored dress with black accessories, and also wore a corsage of gardenias and roses.

Mrs. Frederick is the daughter of Mrs. Matilda Grenfell of this city. She has resided in Golden for the last sixteen years, and formerly made her home in Denver. She is employed at the Coors Porcelain plant in this city, and will retain her work here for the present.

Mrs. Frederick has made his home in Denver for a number of years, and is employed by the Western Electric Company of Denver. He formerly made his home in Alliance, Nebr.

Mrs. Ruth Charon was united in marriage to Floyd Frederick on Friday evening, February 1, at 8:00 p. m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Frederick of Denver.

The bride has resided in Golden for sixteen years and is employed by the Coors Porcelain plant where she plans to work for a while longer.

Mr. Frederick is from Denver where he is employed by the Western Electric Company. He formerly made his home in Alliance, Nebraska.

The couple left for a short honeymoon trip immediately after the reception at the Frederick home.

The body of Charles Charon, former Golden resident who died Aug. 5 in Rochester, Minn., is being returned to Denver for burial in Fairmount Cemetery. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Thompson Mortuary.

Mr. Charon was born Jan. 19, 1903, in Victor, Colo. He lived in various Colorado towns, including Victor, Leadville and Golden until eight years ago when he moved to the Middle West, where he was a traveling salesman. In 1926 he married Miss Ruth Brandt of Denver.

He is survived by his wife and two children, Shirley Mae and Willa Jean Charon, of Golden.

FLOYD V. FREDERICK

Funeral services for Floyd V. Frederick, 1119 11th St. were held at 2:30 p. m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at Woods Memorial chapel. The Rev. Clifford L. Scott of the Lakewood Christian church officiated. Interment was made in Crown Hill cemetery.

Mr. Frederick, a retired employee of Western Electric Co., presumably died Oct. 3 following a heart attack. He was driving his car in the vicinity of W. 26 Ave. and Field S. He apparently became ill and pulled to the side of the rode [sic] where he was found later. He had been in apparent good health, according to his family.

Born Feb. 14, 1900, in Pacific Junction, Ia., Mr. Frederick was the son of Benjamin F. and Anna B. Frederick. When he was a young boy, his family moved to St. Joseph, Mo., where he attended grade school and graduated from high school.

Mr. Frederick was employed in St. Joseph by the Burlington railroad before moving to western Nebraska where he was employed in the potash industry. He then was employed again by the Burlington in Nebraska before coming to Denver in 1927. He was employed by Western Electric Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1963.

In 1952 Mr. Frederick married Ruth Sharon of Golden and they lived here since then. He was a member of the Lakewood Christian church and was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers, a nation-wide group of employees who have served in the Bell system 21 years or more.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Frederick; two brothers, Arthur R. Fredericks of Edwards, Calif., and Earl E. Frederick of Denver; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Klitzing of Alliance, Neb., Mrs. M. Esther Six of Hill City, S. D., Mrs. Alta Stubberdieck of Otoe, Neb., and Mrs. Josephine Watterson, Sterling; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Farrar of Arvada and Mrs. Willa Jean Scott of Concord, Calif; and seven grandchildren.

Friends who wish may contribute to the memorial fund of the Lakewood Christian church.

Ruth M. Frederick, 85, of Denver died Feb. 17 at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Denver.

Frederick was born June 22, 1906, in Souris, N.D., to Karl and Matilda Josephine (Hansen) Haselgreen. She was married to Floyd V. Frederick, who died in 1966.

She was a finisher for Coors Porcelain Co. She was a member of Mountair Christian Church in Lakewood.

She is survived by two daughters, Willa Jean Scott of San Ramon, Calif., and Shirley Farrar of Denver; seven grandchildren; and numerous greatgrandchildren.
