It is possible that some of your readers may not have heard of the death of Mrs. Henry Henn of Colorado O. T., (nee Carrie Houston,) formerly of this place. Mrs. Henn's death occurred about two weeks ago at her home, resulting from typhoid fever. Of her life the Orlando Herald says as follows: "Carrie Elizabeth Houston, wife of Rev. Henry Henn, was born January 27, 1864, at Denmark, Iowa. Her parents were of the earliest settlers in that part of the west, going there sixty years ago. The family consisted of father, mother and eight children; four brothers and two sisters remain to mourn her death. Her parents were Congregationists, but after her marriage, which occurred in Denmark, Iowa, Jan. 1, 1896, she united with the M. E. church at Blackwell, O. T., of which Rev. Henn was pastor. She was chiefly educated in Denmark Academy and did six months work in musical conservatory at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. She was never strong, and her work was greatly limited, both in school and as a pastor's wife on that account. After seven weeks of suffering she quietly and peacefully fell asleep at one o'clock on January 4, 1900. The bereaved husband and motherless child have the prayerful sympathy of a host of friends.
