Mr. and Mrs. Palmer will reside in Vestal Center.

RALPH DEVERE TRANSUE

Ralph DeVere Transue, 43, Vestal Center, died suddenly Sunday morning at 8 in Ideal hospital. He is survived by his widow, Margaret Transue, Vestal Center; a son, Richard Transue, Vestal Center; his mother, Mrs. Edna Smith, Binghamton; two brothers, Elwood Transue, Binghamton, and Norwood Transue, Chemunga Forks, and several nieces. He was a member of Frank A. Johnson Post, American Legion, Johnson City. Services will be at J. F. Ries Funeral Home, 180 Main St., Johnson City, Tuesday afternoon at 3. Rev. William J. D? and Rev. Robert Lacey will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Park cemetery.

Margaret Ruth Palmer of Vestal Center

Margaret Ruth Palmer, 84 of RD 1, Vestal Center, died Monday at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, Vestal; one son and daughter-in-law, R. Richard and Esther Transue, Johnson City; a step son and step daughter, Craig L. Palmer, Binghamton and Sandra M. Levinson, Calif.; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Avery Warwick, Binghamton; several nieces and nephews. Margaret was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Vestal and a life time resident of Vestal Center. She was a member of the Town of Vestal Republican Election Committee for 30 years.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the H.P. Moat Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 401 Mirador Dr., Vestal. The Rev. William K. Sites, rector of St. Andrews, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
