Peter Parslow having sold his residence, he and his family left for North Yakinsie, Wash. Mr. Parslow is a veteran of the Civil war, who has a very pronounced impediment in his speech which is quite amusing and droll at times. Recently, at a meeting of the Grand Army post in this city, several of the members were standing in a group talking about the Civil war. Mr. Parslow who was standing in hearing distance finally spoke up and said: "B-o-o-o-ys, I-I-I-I d-d-didn't s-e-e-e anything so-o-o dam-m-ed civ-il about it," which was probably true, for he saw four years of hard service.
