Endicott Bulletin, April 8, 19367125

Mrs. Alta Jenks of Vestal Center died in Binghamton City hospital last Thursday. The funeral was held in Vestal Center Methodist Episcopal church, of which she was member, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. G. M. Straw officiated. Burial was in the Vestal Center cemetery. Mrs. Fred FeDora and Mrs. Clarence Hickling sang two selections. Survivors are her husband, James, a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Transue, of Chenango Forks; a son, Avery Warrick, Vestal Center.

JAMES JENKS, 82, of Vestal Center, died Monday after a long illness. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Lindsay of Binghamton; and several grandchildren. The body was removed to the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main Street, Endicott, where friends may call this evening from 7 to 9.
