Miss Edna L. Abbey Wed To Herbert F. Loucks

Falconer—Miss Edna Lillie Abbey and Herbert Fletcher Loucks, both of Randolph, were married Wednesday evening at the parsonage of the First Baptisch Church. Rev. R. W. Neathery officiating in the presence of the immediate families. The couple was attended by Mrs. Inez Cooper and W. H. Heater.

Services for Herbert F. Loucks set for Saturday

Herbert F. "Bob" Loucks, 67, of R.D. 1, Conewango Valley, died at 11:50 p.m. Friday Feb. 1[0], 1989 in Veterans Administration Hospital, Tucson, Ariz.

He was born March 2, 1921, in Jamestown, a son of the late Charles H. and Myrtle Leroy Loucks.

Mr. Loucks was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Williams Manufacturing Corporation of San Jose, Calif.

Surviving are his wife, Edna L. Abbey Loucks, whom he married Jan. 6, 1943; two daughters, Sharon Ortolano of Houston, Texas and Sybil Mendoza of San Jose; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Allen Loucks of Greenhurst; and a sister, Iva Arnold of Greenhurst.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Van Rennselaer and Son Funeral Home, Randolph. The Rev. Carlton Baker, pastor of Conewango Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Randolph Cemetery.

Edna L. Loucks dies at sixty-six after long illness

Edna L. Loucks, 66, of Route 241, Conewango, died at 6:35 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 1991, in WCA Hospital, Jamestown.

She was born Dec. 28, 1924, in the town of Randolph, a daughter of Walter and Mildred Clark Abbey.

Mrs. Loucks was a member of Conewango Baptist Church and was formerly employed as a secretary at Fairchild Electronics in Mountain View, Calif.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Wakely; four grandchildren: Leslie and Annette Silva, both of Jamestown, Sherilyn Silva of California and Charles Loucks of Conewango; two great-granddaughters; two brothers, Stanley Abbey and Frederick Abbey, both of Randolph; three sisters: Joyce Reynolds and Shirley Abbey, both of Randolph, and Elsie Pickett of San Jose, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert F. Loucks, whom she married Jan. 6, 1946 and who died Feb. 10, 1899, and a brother, Robert Abbey.

The funeral was at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, in Van Rensselaer and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Brown, pastor of Conewango Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Randolph Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Conewango Baptist Church.
