Miss Ellen Ervine, of Raphine, announces the marriage of her sister, Adelaide, to Mr. Henry Martin Sr., of Middlebrook.
The marriage took place Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Winchester, the ceremony having been performed by the Rev. Charles W. Caulkins.
After a trip to northern points, Mr. and Mrs. Martin will make their home near Middlebrook.

Mrs. Adelaide (Ervine) Martin, 73, of Lucaro Farms, Rt. 1, Raphine, died Saturday morning (Feb. 11, 1984) in a local nursing home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1911, in Rockbridge County, daughter of John Weir and Stella (Hurt) Ervine. She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Henry W. Martin; two daughters, Mrs. William P. Doyle of Raphine and Mrs. Bascome S. Pribble III of Richmond; one brother, John W. Irvine of Grass Valley, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. William K. Jones of Staunton, and two grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday in New Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Thomas T. Biggs.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Staunton-West Augusta Heart Fund, Box 2614, Staunton, Va. 24401.

RAPHINE — Henry Wright Martin, 83, died Thursday (Dec. 21, 1989) in the Virginia Medical Center at Salem.
He was born Aug. 4, 1906 in Augusta County, a son of Walter L. and Jean (McNutt) Martin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adelaide E. Martin.
He was a member of New Provident Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of Brownsburg Ruritan Club. He attended Virginia Tech and served in the Navy during World War II in the Seabees.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louise M. Doyle of Raphine and Mrs. Carolyn M. Tribble of Richmond; a sister, Dr. Jean Glasgow of Roanoke; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at New Providence Presbyterian Church by Dr. John Lewis.
A private service will follow at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Fairfield Live Saving and First Aid Cres.
