Funeral services for Police Sergt. H. C. McLennan, 60 years old, will be held at 1 o'clock tomorrow at the Home Undertaking Company. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant. Sergeant McLennan died of a stroke Friday.
Sergeant McLennan joined the Police Department January 10, 1922. He was promoted to sergeant September 17, 1927. He recently had been assigned to the third patrol at headquarters after being transferred from Ballard Precinct, where he had worked about six months after being transferred out of headquarters.
Surviving are his widow, Hazel K., residing at the family home, 4418 30th Ave. W.; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Dana of Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Constance Wetmore and Mrs. Virginia Sherrill, both of Tieton, Yakima County and Mrs. Ruth Hansen, Bellingham, and three brothers, Douglass and Gail McLennan of Port Angeles, and Ross McLennan of Alberta, Canada.
Sergeant McLennan was a fireman, 2nd class, in the Navy during the World War.
The veteran sergeant was a member of Ionic Lodge No. 90, F. and A. M.; Roosevelt Post No. 24, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Magnolia Post No. 123, American Legion, and the Seattle Police Relief Association.

Funeral services for Hazel K. McLennan, 86, of the Washington Veterans Home at Retsil, will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home. She died Tuesday at the Veterans Home Hospital.
She was born Feb. 12, 1891, in Richmond Beach, where she was reared and educated. She had lived her entire life in the Seattle and Puget Sound area.
Mrs. McLennan had been a resident of Retsil since 1967.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Alice Sehrt of Tracy, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Seattle.
