Lenora Stewart Bride of Nelson

At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Nelson, 529 South Whitcomb street, Lenora Stewart Saturday was married to Vernon R. Nelson, brother of Mr. Nelson, in a ceremony at 3 p. m.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Davis, who lives west of Fort Collins, wore a black crepe dress made with touches of white, accented by a gardenia corsage. Her accessories were black. Mr. Nelson's sister, Mrs. Chester Taylor of Omaha, Neb., was similarly dressed, and also wore gardenias. Mr. Taylor was best man.

Guests at the wedding included Miss Phyllis Nelson of Omaha, sister of the bridegroom; Clyde Anderson, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Davis; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Davis and daughter Charlotte Ann; Mr. and Mrs. Taylor; and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Nelson and son, Willard Jr.

Mrs. Nelson was educated in Fort Collins, and for five years has been employed in the office of Dr. V. E. Cram. Mr. Nelson, who attended school at his former home at Lincoln, Neb., worked until last year at Washington, D. C. He is now employed in the county agricultural conservation office here.

After a brief honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson will be at home in an apartment at 217 Remington street.

Vernon Nelson

Vernon R. Nelson, 60, of Denver, formerly of Fort Collins, died Sunday after a prolonged illness at a nursing home in Aurora. He was 60.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth M. Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Fund in care of the Warren Funeral Chapel.

Nelson was born in Niobrara, Neb., on Oct. 23, 1915, and moved to Colorado in 1937. He served as secretary of the Larimer County Farm Bureau during World War II and was a former member of the Elks Lodge No. 804.

A member of the Episcopal Church, Nelson and his brother built and began operating Vern's Place in 1946 and six years later he opened Aetna Trailer Sales Co., also in Fort Collins.

Nelson married Nancy Valentine of Denver of Dec. 9, 1961, in Loveland. They moved to Denver in 1963. She survives.

Nelson is survived by his mother, Mrs. Laura L. Nelson of Fort Collins; son, Jack of Bethesda, Md., and sisters, Mrs. Winifred B. Gall of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Virginia Terry, of Lincoln, Neb.
