Mildred Agatha Painter, 86, Edinburg, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Camelot Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrisonburg.

Miss Painter was born Aug. 7, 1914, at Edinburg, and was the daughter of the late Richard H and Grace Catherine Wisman Painter.

She was a retired Shenandoah County Public School teacher, having taught at Fort Valley and Edinburg. She was a graduate of James Madison University and was a member of Maurertown Brethren Church.

She is survived by a sister, Wanda Middleton, New Market.

The Rev. Richard Craver will conduct the funeral at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mount Jackson. Burial will be at Cedarwood Cemetery at Edinburg.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
