Verna E. Pardoe, 86, of 325 Eutaw St., New Cumberland, died Sunday in Seidle Memorial Hospital, Mechanicsburg.

She was a member of Devonshire Memorial Church, Lower Paxton Twp.

Surviving are her husband, John W. Pardoe Jr.; two sons, John W. III of Shiremanstown and Alfred C. of San Diego; five daughters, Sara Nell of New Cumberland, Betty Collins of Elizabethville, Lois Reed of Linglestown, Verna Adams of Poway, Calif., and June Gallagher of Lemoyne; 26 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.

Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was the widower of Verna E. Weaver Pardoe. Surviving are two sons, John W. III of Shiremanstown and Alfred C. of San Diego; five daughters, Sara Nell of New Cumberland, Betty Collins of Millersburg, Lois Reed of Linglestown, Verna Adams of Temecula, Calif., and June Gallagher of Lemoyne; a sister, Dorothy Hreczuch of Cornwall Manor; 26 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Burial will in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.

Viewing will be from 9: 30 to 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
