He married THEODORA LUCILLE ABERNATHY on December 14, 1930 in Stillwater, Payne, Oklahoma,10691 daughter of ALMIRA MAY PURVIANCE and JOHN REEVES ABERNATHY. She was born January 21, 1910,56 and died January 18, 1984.456 She is buried in Valley of the Sun Cemetery, Chandler, Maricopa, Arizona.456

WEDDING EVENTS

Phillips-Abernathy

Mr. Lee Phillips, of Fairview, and Miss Lucile Abernathy, daughter of Mrs. Almira Abernathy of Stillwater, were married Sunday morning, December 14, 1930, at the home of the bride's mother in Stillwater, Ok. The wedding was solemnized by the Rev. Allen S. Davis.

Miss Pearl Louise Purviance, aunt of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mr. Roy Phillips, brother of the groom, was best man.

The bride wore a dress of brown flat crepe with a deep yoke and long sleeves of brown silk lace and blending accessories.She carried a wrist corsage of yellow roses and sweet peas.

Both bride and groom are former students of Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical college. Mr. Phillips is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Phillips, of Fairview.

Following the wedding the couple left for a short wedding trip. They will be at home near Fairview.

Out of town guests at the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Purviance, Guthrie; Mr. and Mrs. E. Phillips, and Bonnie, of Fairview; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kaufman, Hitchcock; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wicks and Dorotha and Mildred Wicks, Guthrie; Mr. and Mrs. Ramond Purviance and Harold Purviance of Guthrie.
