The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Dilley of Hodgeman Co. and a niece of Mrs. Snyder, and is well known here having lived in this vicinity for the past ten years; May they live a happy and prosperous life is the wish of their many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Guthrie for James A. Purviance, 76, whose death occurred unexpectedly June 10, 1937, at his home three miles south of Guthrie, Ok. He was the father of Mrs. ALmira Abernathy, county home demonstration agent of Payne county.
The Rev. Everett Poole, of First Presbyterian church, Guthrie, officiated. Burial was in Memorial park north of Oklahoma City.
Purviance had lived near Guthrie for the last thirty-seven years and was widely known as the operator of dairy farm three. He was born December 27, 1860 in Lincoln, Ill. twenty-six years later he moved to Dodge City, Kan., where he was married to Miss Mary Alma Dilley.
After his marriage Purviance settled on a farm near Wichita, Kan., and in August of 1900 he moved to Guthrie. Purviance was a leader in central Oklahoma farm circles.
Survivors include the widow, five daughters, namely, Mrs. J. R. Wicks, Miss Maude Purviance and Miss Pearle Purviance, all of Guthrie, Mrs. C. G. Wells, Tulsa and Mrs. Abernathy, Stillwater, and three sons, Ray and Harold Purviance of Guthrie, and W. H. Purviance of Newark, O.
There are nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Purviance, 81, who died Tuesday night at the local hospital, will be held at 10 a. m. Friday at the First Presbyterian church.
Rev. Sam Maier will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park, north of Oklahoma City under direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Purviance was the oldest charter member of the first Home Demonstration club organized in the state. During her 40 years of membership she missed only nine meetings.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Almira Abernathy, Nowata; Mrs. J. R. Wicks, Guthrie; Mrs. C. C. Wells, Tulsa; Miss Maude Purviance, Guthrie; Mrs. J. P. Miller, San Antonio, Tex., three sons, Harold and Raymond Purviance, Guthrie; William, San Paula, Calif., 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
