MARSHALL, Ill., Fores G. Richardson, 92, of Marshall, Ill., died at 1:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, in Burnsides Community Health Center in Marshall, Ill. He was born Aug. 25, 1915, at Cayuga, Ind., to Walter Richardson and Ruby Bodine Richardson. He married Connie T. Strazzulla on Feb. 14, 1946, in Monroe, Mich. He was the former owner and operator of Richardson Cattle Company in Marshall.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Ron Hughes of West Terre Haute; a stepgrandson, Todd Hughes and wife Jill; stepgreat-grandchildren, Tanner Hughes and Kelsey Hughes. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny, who died in 1967 at the age of 18; and two sisters, Alma Oyler and Charlotte Otteson.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Marshall. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1945 and was a member of Clark County Post 90 of the American Legion. He was an avid Indiana University sports fan.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. CST Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Haag officiating. Burial is in Marshall Cemetery. Visitation is 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pearce Funeral Home with a Liturgical Wake service at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund in Marshall.

Connie T. Richardson, 97, of Marshall, Ill., passed away at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in Harrison Crossing at Terre Haute, Ind.

She was employed in the cafeteria department of the Marshall Community Schools from 1967 to 1985. She also worked for many years for Mr. and Mrs. Ray Woodard at Hedges Store in Marshall.

Connie was born Jan. 11, 1922, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Frank and Carmel Tringali Strazzulla. She married Fores G. Richardson on Feb. 14, 1946, at Monroe, Mich., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Richardson, on Feb. 23, 1967; as well as her siblings, Betty Spinali, Mack Strazzulla, Fran Schram, Russell Strazzulla, Mary Woods and Elizabeth Anderson.

She served this nation in the W.A.A.C. and W.A.C. during WW II.

She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Marshall and VFW Post #5975, and had been involved in many community activities and organizations. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic Academy of Monroe, Mich.

Surviving are a daughter, Margie (Ron) Hughes of Paris, Ill.; a step-grandson, Todd (Jill) Hughes of Noblesville, Ind.; two step-grandchildren, Tanner Hughes and Kelsey Hughes; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Helping Hands.
