Shedd-Sizer

Fremont young people who have attended the state university recently were interested in the marriage of Miss Edith W. Shedd, daughter of Mrs. Hibbard Houston Shedd of Ashland, to William Atkinson Sizer of Lincoln.

The marriage was solemnized on Wednesday evening at the First Congregational church at Ashland, and was very large and elaborate. The bride wore a handsome gown of white chiffon over taffeta and her four maids were attired in exquisite silk gowns and carried American beauties. The bride's sister, Miss Helen Shedd, wearing pink Sappho silk, was maid of honor. Rev. Mr. Carston, pastor of the church, was the officiating clergyman.

A brilliant reception at the home of the bride's mother followed the wedding. Over one hundred and fifty guests called during the receiving hours. Both the church and home were elaborately decorated in green and pink. The couple were prominent in university circles and were members of the leading sororities. They will reside in Lincoln where Mr. Sizer holds a position in the postoffice.

DEATH CALLS MRS. SIZER

The following article was taken from the Big Horn County Rustler, published at Basin, Wyo., where Mr. and Mrs. Sizer lived for several years:

The editor of the Rustler received a telegram from Mr. Harry G. Shedd on Tuesday bearing the sad news of the death of Mrs. W. A. Sizer, who had passed away at her home in Omaha, that morning. The telegram stated that the funeral services will be held at the old home in Ashland today.

The message brought genuine sorrow to the many friends who recall Mrs. Sizer as she was at the time she made her home in Basin twelve to sixteen years ago.

With her husband she came to Basin and resided here when the settlers were coming in to take up the land under the Big Horn canals, the Shedd-Sizer company having the contract for the sale of the land.

During the years she lived here she made a wide circle of friends who today cherish the memory of the wonderfully fine woman that she was at that time—a most lovable woman who made and held friendships because of a charming personality and rare attainments which endeared her most to those who knew her best.

She possessed rare talent as a musician and gave freely of her talent for the pleasure of our people.

A number of years ago she became ill and since that time had continued to be an invalid, much to the sorrow of her many friends.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter aged about six years, her mother, a sister and two brothers, Messrs. Harry G. and George B. Shedd.

The sorrowing relatives have the sincerest sympathy of a wide circle of friends in this part of Wyoming.
