OLIVER L. STAMBAUGH, son of EMILY L. SHRIER and SAMUEL HENRY STAMBAUGH, was born in 1858 in Illinois,456 and died in 1921.456 He is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Vernon, Yuma, Colorado.456
He married IDA COSTON on February 20, 1881 in Holt County, Missouri.940

Many long time friends of William S. Stambaugh, a former resident of the Vernon community, attended a graveside burial for him at Glendale cemetery Saturday. The rites were conducted by Rev. Marion R. Farmer.
Mr. Stambaugh, son of Oliver and Ada Stambaugh, wa born on October 8, 1888, in Missouri. He died August 31 at the Mile-Hi convalescent home in Denver at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Mr. Stambaugh came to Colorado in the early 1900's and lived near Cope with his father and his brother, Pearl. In 1908 he moved to the Vernon neighborhood and worked for J. C. Akey.
He was married to Mary L. Guinn of Vernon on October 15, 1914, and she preceded him in death in June, 1924.
In 1929, Mr. Stambaugh moved away from the Vernon community but returned at various times to visit old friends. He had been in failing health for ten years and had been a paralytic invalid for the past five years. During this time he was cared for in the sanitarium in Denver by his cousin Melburn Sanders.
The surviving relatives are his brother, Pearl, of Kansas City, Mo., some nieces and nephews and less near relatives and friends.
