Marriage Announcements and News

Cook Weekly Courier, March 8, 191212408

Cooper-Wallace

A quite wedding took place at the M. E. parsonage Wednesday morning, March 6, 1912, at seven o'clock, the contracting parties being Mr. George E. Wallace and Miss Mattie M. Cooper. Rev. A. A. Kerber, pastor of the church performed the ceremony. The attendants were the bride's sister, Miss Mabel Cooper, and the groom's brother, Mr. Everett Wallace.

Immediately after the ceremony the young couple left for Syracuse where they will visit for a while with relatives after which they will go to housekeeping on a farm near Tecumseh.

The bride has grown to young womanhood here and by her sweet disposition and pleasant manners has made a host of warm friends. For the past year she has held a position with the Cook Mercantile Co. and was one of its most efficient and obliging clerks.

The groom is a respected young farmer and for the past five years has resided near Graf. He is a steady and industrious young man and enjoys the respect and esteem of all who know him.

The Courier joins their many friends in well wishes for a prosperous and happy wedded life.
