Hartford Courant, June 3, 19116081

George N. Williston, aged 68 years, a native and former resident of this place, died Wednesday at his home in St. Alvans, Vt., after a short illness. He was born in Suffield, and up to 1869 conducted a cigar business on Main street. December 2, 1969, he married Emilie A. Thompson of Windsor Locks and leaves besides a widow, two sons, George and Henry Williston, living at St. Albans, Vt., one bother, Charles Williston, and one sister Mrs. A. C. Strong, both living in Suffiel. The body was brought to this place yesterday morning on the 9:05 train, and the funeral was held at the undertaking rooms of William M. Cooper on Main street in the afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. William Abbott Smith, pastor of the Second Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Death of Mrs. E. A. Williston

The death of Mrs. Emily A. Williston, aged 87 years, occurred Tuesday night at her home on Rugg street. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the house and interment will be in Suffield, Conn. The deceased is survived by her sister, Mrs. J. A. Rogers of Springfield, Mass.; one son, G. T. Williston, with whom she made her home.
