MARION, Ind., June 3.—Miss Amanda Mabel Barley, daughter of Mrs. E. W. Barley, of 416 North Adams street, this city, a young woman noted for her happy disposition and sunny smile, was married May 26 to A. Paul Wilson at San Francisco, Cal., after a romantic courtship, word of their marriage having been received here by the bride's mother. Miss Barley and Mr. Wilson met at Catalina Island two years ago when she was visiting in California, Mr. Wilson's home being at Fresno, that State. They were engaged before she left for her home in this city last summer. Unknown to her friends Miss Barley planned for her wedding and left May 9 for San Francisco and narrowly escaped death in a wreck at Randolph, Mo., when the train on which she rode fell through a bridge into Rush river. Miss Barley was not injured and continued on her trip. Mr. Wilson is the owner of a large estate in California and with his bride will live at 100 Forthcamp avenue, Fresno.
