Miss Nellie Marie McClung, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. McClung, of 648 North Jefferson street, was united in marriage to Martin Ray Agnew, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Agnew of Hamilton, Ohio, at the home of the bride's parents, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with the Reverend J. W. Nicely, of the First Presbyterian Church, performing the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of gray flat crepe trimmed in grey lace and carried a large bouquet of sun burst roses. Preceding the ceremony Miss Margaret McClung, a sister of the bride, sang a number of bridal airs. Mrs. Agnew is popularly known in the city and community, having attended the Muncie High school and the Indiana State Normal school. She has been director of the Second Street Kindergarten for a number of years and has been active in Sunday school work. She is at present in charge of the beginners' department of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Agnew is a World War veteran and has lived in Muncie for the last two years. He is connected with the Nichols Groceteria. After a short trip to Hamilton, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Agnew will return to the city, where they will make their home.

Nellie McClung Agnew, 86, wife of M. Ray Agnew, died Monday evening at the family residence, 207 Neely, following a long illness. She was born in Liberty and moved to Muncie as a child with her parents, William and Georgette Pierce McClung. She started teaching kindergarten in 1905 as an assistant at Second Street Jackson School and later taught at Blaine and several other city schools.
Mrs. Agnew was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was in charge of the Beginners Department of the church for 20 years. She was known to the students as "Miss Nellie."
Surviving besides her husband, are a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Margaret) Brodbeck, Sarasota, Fla.; a brother, Captain E. R. McClung, U.S. Navy (Ret.), Washington, D.C. and several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Lowell Ward and Mrs. Richard Edwards, both of Muncie.
Services will be held at The Meeks Mortuary 1:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Beech Grove.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 until 5 and from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday and any time before the services Friday.
