He married RUTH CAROLYN CAMPBELL on June 21, 1939 in Orange County, California.⁷⁵⁴⁰ She was born February 17, 1913 in Dubuque County, Iowa,^{56, 6300} and died November 21, 2005.⁵⁶

Shop Supervisor

Ernest E. Chilcote, 81, of Ventura died Nov. 25 of cancer at home.

Chilcote, a native of McLoud, Okla., lived in San Bernardino County for 30 years.

He was a shop supervisor for Cambar Manufacturing in Los Angeles for 20 years. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; his brother, William Owen of San Bernardino; and two sisters, Lucile Hubbs of San Bernardino and Gwendolyn Hubbs of Rialto.

Services are private. The Neptune Society in Santa Barbara is directing.
